Lake Czorsztyn, an artificial reservoir on the Dunajec River, is a true gem of the region thanks to its picturesque location, a popular destination for trips and a paradise for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. Nearby attractions include the ruins of the castle in Czorsztyn and the castle in Niedzica.
After a day spent on mountain trails or ski slopes, it's worth allowing yourself a warming relaxation in thermal pools. The nearby facilities offer excellent conditions for rest and interesting attractions. Our complex cooperates with Gorący Potok and Terma Bania – tickets can be purchased at our reception.
We cooperate with the Czorsztyn-Ski ski resort, which allows our Guests to purchase ski passes at the reception with a 5% discount. Czorsztyn-Ski is located just 3 km from our facility. It offers: 8 ski lifts, 9 ski slopes, a service and rental of winter equipment, as well as a ski and snowboard school.
One of the most popular attractions in the area is available during the rafting season (from April 1 to October 31). It is an ideal option for families with children and for those who want to learn more about interesting facts about the region. The route, 15 km long, runs from Sromowce Wyżne to Szczawnica. The rafting trip lasts about 2 hours.
Lubań is the highest peak in the southeastern part of the Gorce Mountains. The mountain has two peaks – one at 1211 meters above sea level and the other at 1225 meters above sea level. The lower peak is forested, while the higher one has a clearing with a sheltered shelter and a viewing tower. During the summer holidays, a student tent base operates here.
Bicycle routes around Lake Czorsztyn are a proposal for those who appreciate the beauty of nature but prefer riding on asphalt roads. The bike path starts just 100 m from Czorsztyn Prestige. Guests have free access to mountain bikes on-site. It is possible to rent additional bikes delivered to the apartment.
Niedzica Castle was built by the Hungarians as a response to the Polish fortress Wronin (currently the ruins of the castle in Czorsztyn). Today it is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the Polish Carpathians, where you can admire, among others, the Salamon chambers, castle dungeons, and an exhibition about the history of the fortress.
Kotelnica Białczańska, the largest ski resort in Podhale, offers 14 km of slopes with varying levels of difficulty. The resort is part of Tatra Super Ski. On-site facilities include: equipment rental, service, ski schools, and restaurants. Guests of our complex are entitled to a 5% discount when purchasing a full-day ski pass.
Lake Czorsztyn is a true paradise for lovers of active water recreation: kayaking, pedal boating, SUP, sailing, and windsurfing. Just 800 m from our complex, the VITO marina is also home to a solar-powered catamaran.
At the Czorsztyn Castle, the ruins of the middle and upper castles, the Baranowski tower, and Zieleniec are open for sightseeing. From the terrace of the upper castle, there is a panorama of the Czorsztyn Reservoir, the Spiska Pieniny, and the Tatras, while from the windows of the Baranowski tower, you can see Podhale, Gorce, and a part of the Czorsztyn Pieniny.
Palenica and Szafranówka are two scenic peaks located near Szczawnica. The PKL chairlift takes visitors up Palenica. At the summit, guests can enjoy family attractions and dining facilities. In winter, there are 5 ski runs operating here. From Szafranówka, there is a view of Szczawnica, the Pieniny, Gorce, Beskid Sądecki and Wyspowy mountains, and even the Tatras.
Velo Dunajec, with a length of 237 km, is the most beautiful cycling route in Małopolska, running from Zakopane to Wietrzychowice. It is connected to Velo Czorsztyn, which is located 100 m from our complex. For apartment guests, we have prepared mountain bikes that they can use free of charge. It is also possible to rent additional bikes.
To reach the most famous peak of the Pieniny Mountains, with an elevation of 982 meters above sea level, it is best to start the route from the PTTK Trzy Korony Shelter, located at the foot of the massif. The route is 2.9 km long and can be completed in about 1.5 hours. The drive to the shelter from Czorsztyn Prestige takes only 25 minutes.
Cruises on the "White Lady" or "Harnasia" on Lake Czorsztyn are not only about admiring the magnificent views from the water level but also an opportunity to hear interesting facts about the local history and culture and to learn about local legends, not only about the White Lady, after whom one of the ships is named.
The most popular cross-country skiing route is located near the Trzy Korony Shelter, from where it leads to the Red Monastery, from which you can return to the shelter or continue to Leśnica, and then to Szczawnica. More experienced cross-country skiers can set off from the Red Monastery to Cerla Pass, Targov Pass, then to Leśnica and back to the Red Monastery, and from there to the Trzy Korony Shelter.
Ride Bike Park Kluszkowce is an attraction for those who enjoy adrenaline and active ways of spending time. The resort offers 4 gravity biking trails. The trails are adapted to different skill levels. Every year, the Joy Ride Festival takes place at the resort, the largest three-day extreme biking event in Poland.
The Homole Gorge is one of the greatest attractions of the Pieniny Mountains – an incredibly picturesque trail running along the rushing Kamionka stream. Over a stretch of about one kilometer, rocky walls have formed an extraordinary canyon here that consistently amazes tourists. It is best to start the hike from the parking lot in the village of Jaworki, and completing it should take about 35 minutes.
